  I received a phone call from CVS Pharmacy on Placer St., Redding, CA from their Pharmacist, Christy Porter telling me that my Prescription was being denied by CVS Pharmacy. She stated she had faxed my Doctor and was waiting on a response with the knowledge; his office was hard to get a hold of. I am still waiting on as of March 8, 2018. When I asked why: 1. The Pharmacist stated it was RED flag. She works with the Shasta County DEA, She was on the board of the DEA in Shasta County was trying to prevent Physician from writing high quality amounts of narcotics. She stated if someone broke into my home they would have all my narcotics. She never mentions that they could also take: cash, jewelry or firearms if I had them or even kill us if we were home. . 2. I also had another drug Zanax, (which I used sparingly) The Pharmacist stated this was an interaction with Hydrocodone. I do get panic attacks on Airplanes, and in extreme closed quarters, i.e. back seat of a car with windows that do not open up and only on rare occasions do I take Zanax. 3. On Dec 19 I Received a prescription from my Dentist for 12 Hydrocodone pills that I had filled at Rite aid when I had two teeth extracted; one was abscess and the other the nerve had died. This was enough I guess for this pharmacist to accuse me pill shopping! I had an x-ray taken 2 days later and my report states my right hip replacement prosthesis after just 4 years is falling apart and is loose which has been causing the unbearable pain. I am now being referred to an Orthopedic Surgeon for surgery. Needless to say: Pain and suffering has been endured and now mental anguish from this uncalled for, and unnecessary action from the CVS Pharmacist. It is my opinion that this Pharmacist acted above and out of bounds of her legal purview in calling me directly and implying I am a pill shopper and possible distributing narcotics. I have check and her action is illegal and very questionable. Calling me and putting me through this because she cannot get hold of my doctor is her problem. Needless to say: As of this writing I do not have my prescription filled. We finally got the written prescription back from CVS. The pharmacist went on vacation without concluding verification of the prescription form the doctor. We now do business at Rite Aide. 1 start is very generous...

  My family have been faithful patrons of the CVS on Placer, here in Redding. Since they hired new pharmacist's that wear name tags that proclaim that they are Doctors, dealing with them has been a nightmare. I have dealt with CVS for a total of 15 years. Today I had enough with the rude woman pharmacist. She refues to fill percriptions that she doesn't want to fill. I have never seen anything like it. Her little name tag that proclaims that she is a Doctor has gone to her head. She did not go to medical school but yet she thinks that she knows best for me over my Real Doctor's orders. My whole family are switching our medications to Rite Aid. CVS just lost 3 loyal customers.

  Finally started using another pharmacy (Owen's) for my prescriptions after CVS once again failed to fill my refill. Long wait times, multiple failures to refill, and having to wait for pharmacists who go to lunch at 5pm have finally forced me to change. I can't tell you how much time I've wasted in this place due to this. That being said, the employees are very friendly.
